TASTING NOTES FROM THE CURATOR
These gourmet crisps are presented in a fabulous Spanish-style! Firstly, they are hand fried at a low temperature in olive oil to deliver a flavoursome crunch. After that they are delicately flavoured with naturally-harvested sea-salt crystals (‘Flor de Sal’) and its spices, respective to the flavor they represent.
White Truffle: An intense initial aroma accompanied by a distinguished flavor from the best white truffles in a soft aftertaste. These chips are a real pleasure for the palate.
Jamon Iberico: Made with the aroma of Iberian ham. Spanish essence with an intense smell and flavor. An irresistible gastronomic jewel.
Fried Egg: When the simple becomes gourmet. The flavor that made Quillo chips viral! Try them and you will surely repeat. Tastes exactly like egg.
Lemon & Pink Pepper: Zesty lemon with a hint of spice. Chips with a kick that will keep you craving for more.
These crisps are best taken as is. They do make a good snack on any given occassion.
When pairing with wine, Fried Egg and Jamon Iberico chips will go well with a zesty Pinot Gris, bone-dry Rosé or vivid local Pinot Noir.
The decadent White Truffle chips are the gold standard snack paired with Champagne. The chips are scented, rich and salty, matching Champagne’s complexity, toasted nutty flavours, and sizzling acidity.
The Lemon & Pink Pepper chips will have a tangy taste and will likely demand wines with good acidity. A Chianti’s raspy acid and edgy tannins will do nicely.
Store in a cool dry place.
